WooHoo...it's a givaway

We are about to pack up the giant red van which is visible from space, and head to Western North Carolina for a spell of serious partying and enjoying people we love.

But before we leave, here is a fun little idea. Like most of the good ideas around here, it came from my children.

As many of you know Audrey is a very gifted artist. She makes beautiful jewelery, she sews and knits, and her drawing skills are really quite impressive.

She did not get this from me, but I' m proud to be this close to so much talent.
So anyway, the fun idea is a give-away and it looks like this:

Audrey has made some very pretty book-marks, which we will be posting pictures of tomorrow, and we would like to share them. So, anybody who reads a book with me (or anyone who has already read a book with me) will be the proud recipient of one of Audrey's book-marks.

All you have to do is read one of the books on the list in the margin to the right, and then comment on it, so we can all benefit from your insights, and then we'll send you a bookmark.

So, Jess is eligible for a bookmark, and we'll ask her if she has any special design in mind. Maybe we will make a bookmark with some of Scott's great hat photos for those of you who read more than three books with me.

Those of you who participate can pick from the ones in the picture, or we will post new models later. Or if you want a special order like a picture of your dog, or something in your signature color scheme, describe it and we'll see if it's possible. David will be receiving a book mark with a photo of his favorite bearded dragon to commemorate his reading of Herodotus, for example.

It looks like there are three of us reading Uncle Tom's Cabin later this month, and there's a special commemorative book-mark in the works for that title. So if anyone else wants in on that one, let us know.

Ok Jess....
so it will be a bookmark with bamboo and maybe even a panda, if we're having a good day.
How's that?
